Frequently Asked Questions, FAQs
1. When can I buy an EVIN enabled car?
- Send us your contact information and we will let you know when they become available. See the Contact Us form.
2. How is the EVIN enabled car different from a regular car? Do I have to learn how to drive differently?
- The car is the same between the gas and EVIN except the engine, gas tank and transmission is replaced with a standardized enclosure that includes the platform of batteries and electric motor. The EVIN components replace the same footprint of the removed gas vehicle components.
3. Who are the people involved with EVIN?
4. How long will a platform last?
- The platform is replaced with another platform each time you visit the service station. EVIN owns all of the platforms and batteries. EVIN will replace free of charge any platforms of batteries that are defective.
5. How far can I go?
- Travel distance will depend on driving habits similar to gas mileage. The estimated distance for EVIN is 100 miles.
6. Do the batteries currently exist?
- Yes. The EVIN platform of batteries uses existing Lithium Ion battery technology.
7. Who owns the batteries?
- EVIN owns the batteries. You own the energy in the batteries. EVIN replaces and disposes of old and used batteries free of charge to you.
8. Do I have to buy and maintain batteries?
- No, EVIN owns the batteries, maintains, and recycles them. You only purchase the energy in the batteries.
9. Are the batteries recyclable?
- Yes. EVIN will only use batteries that are 100% recyclable. EVIN will require 100% recycling of batteries from the manufacturer with purchase of bulk quantities of batteries.
10. Can I recharge at home?
- Yes, the EVIN platform can be recharged anywhere. EVIN is here to allow you safe, secure and reliable travel.
11. Can existing vehicles be converted to work with the EVIN system?
- Yes, vehicles can be converted to work with the EVIN exchange system. The EVIN network will include all vehicles that use the EVIN exchange system and its supportive EV infrastructure network.
12. Will new Electric Vehicles (EVs) be manufactured to work with the EVIN system?
- Yes, new Electric Vehicles can be manufactured to work with the EVIN system. However, this will happen sooner as we convince automobile manufacturers that there is a market for this type of Electric Vehicle.
13. Why is this a better system than the Hybrid vehicles coming out by Honda and others?
- The EVIN system does not use gasoline engines. If you want to move away from gasoline engines, then the EVIN system is the way to go. Hybrid vehicles need to have both electric motors and gasoline engines.
The Hybrid addresses the need for a wider travel range than their current battery system allows. EVIN resolves this problem and allows you the ability to travel the same as you would for your current gasoline driven vehicle without the fuel, maintenance, and pollution of a two engine system.
